Research Assistant in Computational Psychiatry

We are looking for a Research Assistant on research projects involving the characterisation and prediction of treatments for mood disorders. The post holder will contribute to research on mood disorders in a variety of ways, including through analysis of behavioural and imaging data, through recruitment support, through data acquisition support. This work will be in close collaboration with and support of the Mood Disorders Research clinic at the North London Mental Health Foundation Trust. This post is suitable for a candidate with substantial previous research experience and experience of recruiting participants to research studies, who wishes to contribute to top quality research. Appointment details:

• The post is graded on the UCL Non-clinical grade structure salary scale on Grade 6B, Spine Point 26, the annual salary is £39,807 (including London Allowance).
• The appointment is available from 01/10/2026 and is funded for 12 months in the first instance.
• Any offer of employment will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• The post will be fully onsite.
  
  This post is suitable for a candidate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, computational neuroscience, or a related area, coupled with substantial experience in the computational analysis of behaviour. Candidates should also have experience with mental health or neuroscience research experience and experience of recruiting participants to research studies. Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills are also essential for this role.
