If you have an interest in helping shape the future of healthcare within the NHS, a fantastic opportunity has arisen within the team to join the Tees Valley Research Alliance (TVRA), a shared R&D service for North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post is formally hosted by North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust but the post holder will support both trusts in the TVRA and could be based at either of these locations.
The post holder will be responsible for the administration and delivery of systems to support the approvals process for research studies in line with the UK Policy Framework and HRA processes., To be the first point of contact for researchers, answer queries from researchers promptly and efficiently, acknowledge all communication, and ensuring efficient flow of information.
Maintain log of research studies, document ideal start date deadlines, and process modifications.
The post holder will ensure that clear communication pathways are established to facilitate R&D processes and to promote the work of R&D., Responsible for the day-to-day management of the research studies log using the Cognito database.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the TVRA email inbox
Input and management of all research studies onto the LPMS database
Provide daily support to the TVRA Research Facilitators as part of the study set up process
Hold administrator level user access to the LPMS database including regular audit of user access levels
Provide training sessions for all staff using the LPMS database
Manage site shared drive and HUB for all research studies (including document version control)
Record and monitor upcoming deadlines for projects
Responsible for all study amendment processing following HRA guidelines and deadlines
Issue Letters of Access for both NHS and Non-NHS employees which includes person verification
Administer all research study contracts (2 sites) from review by the set-up team to completion (including contract amendments)
Regularly review the LPMS database to ensure that all members of research study teams are GCP compliant, logging their certification and escalating outstanding training
Forward information to other R&D teams within the TVRA - in particular the local study set-up team, research team leads and clinical support services, so they can advise on local capacity to deliver research. Ensure efficient and timely communication with non-R&D stakeholders too and that all relevant departments are informed of activities
Work with the Research Governance Manager and colleagues to establish and maintain effective systems of recording and storing research project data on the LPMS database.
To fully utilise the R&D databases' capabilities; remaining up to date with central updates, implementing changes as required and submitting timely reports as necessary. Maintain and update the R&D databases, making suggestions on how to improve the system for better data recording. Input consistent and accurate data as part of approval processes.
Maintain an efficient electronic filing system of research applications.
Work with the Deputy Research Governance Manager and colleagues to ensure delivery of administrative processes in timely manner.

New Starters - Probationary Period
For any new employees commencing employment with North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, you will be subject to satisfactory completion of a 6 month probationary period.
