Full Job Description
We are looking for the right person to provide and co-ordinate administrative support to the Wheelchair Repair and Service team. If that's you, please read on: The post holder will beresponsible forliaising withpatients,carers and relatives for the repair and service ofwheelchairmobility aids; as well asassistingin the allocation and coordination of daily workloads. The successful post holder will also share in team activities such ascontrolling and ordering stock, monitoringandallocatingwheelchairs and related accessory stock; alsoassistingin stock control systems. This role calls for a post holder that is a self starter and have the capabilities to work alone and as part of our team, with patientsand their carers to ensure the delivery of the repairs service and collection of goods and accessoriesin a timely manner and to a high standard. This is a unique role that will challenge you, stretch you but bring the satisfaction like no other as you bring quality to the lives of the persons we serve.,
- Liaising via the telephone with patients,carersand care professionals for the delivery of repairs services, co-ordinating relevant paperwork.
- Completing works orders and associated notes toclose downcompleted jobs ina timelyfashion.
- Coordinating workload and jobs forFieldServiceEngineers.
- Maintaining and develop efficient goods inwards control, goods inwards approvals and other procedures, either in person or through agreed delegation.
- Liaise with service management to develop effective management information reporting systems for all aspects of stock control, stock movements, slow moving or obsolete stock identification and other reports tofacilitateoptimumstock usage within contractual requirements.
- Make full use of computerised stock control and other systems to update records andmaintainpatient details.
- Comply withservice requirements of theBCE Management Systems and Bristol NHS Foundation Trust policies and procedures.
- Undertake such other reasonable duties,appropriate tothe grade, as agreed between the post holder and manager from time to time.
