Are you a housing professional, ideally with experience in rent compliance, and would love to work in a role where you can really make a difference?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Rent Assistant (Rent Compliance) to join our Rents & Service Charge team on a 6-month fixed term contract or secondment basis. As our Rent Assistant (Rent Compliance), you will provide administrative support for the Rents and Service Charges team, assisting with affordable rent calculations, liaising with valuers and setting rents for the Group, following clear guidance and ensuring compliance with Homes England guidance, the Regulator of Social Housing's Rent Standard.
You will be working as part of a supportive team, and you will be given fantastic training and mentoring. We know the early days of a new role will be challenging however we give you all the support you need to make you feel comfortable and have the knowledge and skills to support our customers in the best way.
Previous experience of working within housing essential, ideally with an understanding of rents & service charges, although training will be given
-Excellent numeracy skills and experience maintaining large databases of numerical information
-Experience using a housing management system, such as Open Housing
-Intermediate Excel skills
-Able to use technology effectively and appreciate how it benefits an organisation
-Good organisation, with ability to prioritise and plan effectively
-Prioritise and plans effectively, being able to manage multiple tasks at one time
This role is well suited to someone with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn, with the ability to establish strong relationships to work in partnership effectively with colleagues and external organisations.
While the role is home-based, travel to our office at Birmingham Business Park is required fortnightly on Thursdays so ideally, you'll be within a 60-minute commute.
