Role Responsibilities

• Explain what happened in the data and form a point of view on actions to take.


• Identify opportunities in the data proactively.


• Lead instrumentation on new features, defining tracking, success metrics, and guardrail metrics before shipping.


• Act as the analytical voice in product and commercial decisions.


• Contribute with insights, especially when disagreeing with assumptions based on data.


• Mentor other analysts and elevate the team’s analytical skills in SQL, experimentation, and storytelling.


• Own end-to-end analysis for a product area, from scoping to recommendations, with minimal guidance.


• Utilize advanced SQL and possess a solid understanding of experimentation principles, including hypothesis design, A/B testing, significance, and avoiding naive analysis pitfalls.


• Excel in data storytelling using different terminologies and contexts.


• Employ Python or R for advanced modeling or automation tasks.

of view on what to do about it. Spot opportunities in the data before anyone asks you to look. Lead instrumentation on new features - defining tracking, success metrics, and guardrail metrics before anything ships, not after Act as the analytical voice in the room when product and commercial decisions are being made. Be the person who's comfortable saying "I don't think that's what the data shows" Mentor other analysts and help raise the analytical bar across the team - in SQL, in experimentation, in how we tell a story with numbers The ability to own end-to-end analysis for a product area, from scoping through to recommendation, with minimal direction. Advanced SQL. Solid understanding of experimentation - hypothesis design, A/B and multivariate testing, statistical significance, the places where naive analysis goes wrong. Strong data storytelling.
