Full Job Description

Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and data stores.
Work with our frontend engineers to build features our users love.
Work with our product team to refine and break down user stories for rapid delivery to production.
Debug complex production issues across services and multiple layers of the stack.
Prioritise tasks effectively and stay focused on what matters.
Set technical direction on projects and make pragmatic decisions when scope or approach needs to change.
Build and maintain core data flows for our products with a focus on security, privacy, robustness, and performance.
Develop and maintain APIs and data processing pipelines that handle large volumes of data.
Work with our Data Science team to build and maintain data models for injury risk prevention technology.

Experience building APIs or working as part of a team building dynamic web applications.
Ability to learn new technologies and languages.
We work mostly in Ruby, but we value learning over specific language experience.
High standards for software quality, including effective QA, high-quality code, best practices, and industry standards.
Ability to work in a CI/CD environment with standardised, fully tested code.
Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms is a bonus.
Experience working with AI tools is a bonus.
Knowledge of machine learning models is a bonus.
