Full Job Description

  • Design, build, and implement POCs, prototypes, and full UX solutions and strategies
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to clarify requirements and promote UX designs and solutions
  • Deliver complex, fast-moving datasets to high-value trading teams using QlikSense and Qlik Cloud Analytics
  • Analyse user journeys and drive simplification and automation
  • Enable strong data storytelling through clear and compelling visualizations
  • Document technical solution designs and strategy documentation
  • Run quality assessments of counterparts designs
  • Adhere to our release and change processes
  • Mentor junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert
  • Convert our vision and data and analytics strategies into IT solutions and deliver them

    Expert knowledge of authoring and troubleshooting SQL, Azure, and Databricks queries
  • Expert knowledge of QlikSense and Qlik Cloud Analytics
  • Strong knowledge of connectivity, data modeling, source data procurement strategies, security configuration, performance tuning, visualization, layout optimization, mobility, scripting, and advanced analytics integration
  • Knowledge of upcoming trends in tools and technology
  • Gas and power trading knowledge, including short-term trading and physical assets trading such as CCGT, wind, solar, and battery
  • Understanding of risk modelling and risk management
  • Knowledge of commodity modelling across energy, environmental products, and meteorology
  • Skilled in at least one secondary visualization tool: Power BI with Azure Analysis Services, Spotfire, or SAP Analytics Cloud
