Full Job Description
Remote Pre-sales Engineer (EU/UK Based - Remote)
Application Deadline: 2026-10-03
Location: Nottinghamshire, Nottinghamshire, GB, NG22 8NE
Work Environment: Work From Home, Remote-first across Europe. Occasional travel to Prague and to customer sites.
About the role
Duvo helps big companies actually finish the operational work that nobody on their team has time to close. The stuff that lives across an ERP, a few portals, somebody's inbox, three spreadsheets, and the occasional phone call. We map it, improve it, and run it for them. Our customers include one of Europe's largest online grocery retailers, a global beauty e-commerce brand, a Middle East retail group, and a European pharmacy chain.
The buyer is usually a Head of Operations, Supply Chain, Finance or IT at a large retailer or FMCG brand. New deals land at €100k-€250k ARR and grow from there. This role sits between sales and engineering. You own the technical story in a deal, run workshops with the customer's ops and IT people, and design the pilot that transforms interest into a signed contract. You will work directly with the founders and the Account Executive in your region.
What you'll do
- Run discovery and process mapping with customer teams. Take their actual workflows across multiple systems, including handoffs and exceptions, and define a pilot scope with a clear Definition of Done.
- Build and demo pilots inside the product. Every demo is tailored to the customer's process, data shape, approval rules, and write-back targets.
- Own the technical evaluation: security review, integration sizing, IT objections. Bring engineering in when necessary.
- Stay involved through pilot delivery, ensuring the customer's outcomes are verifiable and not just demo-ready. Manage the technical aspects of the pilot to completion.
Who you are
- 3+ years in pre-sales, solutions engineering, forward-deployed solutions, or implementation consulting.
- Experience selling into Operations, Supply Chain, or Finance buyers at enterprise companies. Retail or FMCG experience is a bonus.
- Hands-on with SQL, scripting, REST APIs, basic Python. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you can debug integrations live on a call.
- Good at reading buying committees, identifying champions and blockers, and knowing when to escalate.
- Excellent at explaining technical concepts in plain English.
- Confident pushing back on customer requests that could jeopardize the pilot.
- Capable of crafting concise call summaries that enable the sales process.
What we offer
- Competitive salary and equity (range shared on the first call).
- Seed-stage company backed by Index Ventures with a $15M seed funding.
- Founded by Tom Cupr, a former leader at one of Europe's largest online grocery retailers.
- You will be the first pre-sales hire in your region, with the opportunity to build the function.
- Remote work across Europe and the US, with travel to customer sites and quarterly team offsites.
How we hire
- Recruiter screening: 45-minute chat with Omar (Head of Commercial) about the company and your background.
- Working session: you deliver a demo to us.
- Founder interview: final discussion with the founding team.
We aim to close the hiring process within three weeks. If this aligns with your interests, get in touch.

you'll do Run discovery and process mapping with customer teams. Take what they actually do across half a dozen systems, including the handoffs and exceptions, and turn it into a pilot scope with a clear Definition of Done. Build and demo pilots inside the product. We don't show generic decks. Every demo runs against the customer's process, with their data shape and their approval rules and their write-back targets. Own the technical evaluation. Security review, integration sizing, the IT objections. Bring engineering in when you actually need them. Stay in the deal through pilot delivery. The customer's outcome has to be verifiable, not just demoable, and that part lands with you. Who you are 3+ years in pre-sales, solutions engineering, forward-deployed, or implementation consulting. Your call summaries are good enough that the rep just forwards them. What we offer Competitive salary and equity. We share the range on the first call.
