Full Job Description
- Work with global clients ingesting large volumes of high-frequency time series data
- Work with business users to define application requirements and deliver new functionality
- Be involved in all aspects of the SDLC, including planning, creating, testing, and deploying software solutions
- Analyze data and deliver concise insights to business users
- Work as part of a team to deliver solutions
- Assist in training junior developers
- Take ownership of critical activities
- Develop a detailed understanding of how trading operations work within large-scale financial organizations Technologies:
- Excel
- Java
- Python
- Unix
Strong educational background; a degree is required and a masters degree would be an advantage - 2+ years using KDB+ to develop software
- Experience with Unix environments
- Demonstrated client experience and a track record of developing software solutions
- Good knowledge and experience with SDLC, including design, architecture, coding, testing, and deployment
- Experience with tick architecture, large-scale data capture, and data analysis
- Ability to write clean and efficient code
- Experience in other languages such as Java, C++, or Python
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of seniority
- Strong interpersonal skills with good relationship-building and engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Applicants must be able to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship
