Full Job Description
Tier 5 Religious Worker - Church and Community Worker Location: UK . Reporting to: Archbishop / Designate
Job Purpose
To support the church's youth and community work by delivering faith based, cultural, and outreach activities in a safe, inclusive, and well structured environment, in line with UK safeguarding standards and the mission of the Rhema Pentecostal church.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. To create and support a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people, developing extracurricular activities that encourage spiritual, moral, and social growth in accordance with the church's values.
2. To plan and support activities that promote African culture and heritage, helping young people understand their identity and origins while fostering respect, inclusion, and positive community relationships.
3. To assist with church and community outreach initiatives, including food bank services, community engagement programmes, and support for individuals and families in need.
4. To work in full compliance with UK safeguarding legislation and church safeguarding policies, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and reporting concerns promptly to the designated safeguarding lead., 5. To carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by the Senior Minister, Archbishop, or Designate, contributing to the effective delivery of church and community activities.
