Full Job Description
- Maintain the cleanliness of deity housing and associated drainage areas
- Assist in decorating the deities for rituals and festivals
- Support the priest during services and rituals
- Prepare all items needed by the priest for Abhishekams
- Prepare prasadam (prasadh) for both deities and devotees
- Participate in and assist with temple events such as:
- Homams and Shirdi Sai Baba Pooja preparation - prepare all items for each individual Homam for the priest, items for all deities and Sai Baba
- Assist the priest with all items for the Hindu ceremony and festival
- Assist with Hindu remembrance ceremonies
- Rituals per Hindu traditions
Minimum experience in a similar role assisting priests is required - Strong working knowledge of Shirdi Sai Baba and Hindu traditions and temple rituals
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing temple ceremonies
- Ability to engage respectfully with religious workers from diverse backgrounds
- Capability to respond to devotee inquiries in a respectful, non-pastoral manner
