We work across England and Wales, delivering high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, and inclusion.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Relief Support Worker who is passionate about working outdoors and supporting people through meaningful activities.

This role is specifically to provide cover for annual leave and sickness, so we are looking for someone who is adaptable and able to work flexibly as needed. While this is a relief position, there may be opportunities for more regular hours in the future.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a passion for supporting people with disabilities using a person-centred approach
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Have an interest in gardening, horticulture, or outdoor activities
  • Be willing to learn new skills such as woodwork (or bring existing experience)
  • Enjoy crafts and facilitating engaging sessions
  • Be confident working alongside community organisations
  • Be flexible and responsive to changing service needs

What to Expect

In this role, you will:

  • Support people to take part in allotment-based and community activities
  • Promote independence, choice, and wellbeing through person-centred approaches
  • Help plan and deliver creative, practical, and engaging sessions
  • Encourage skill-building in areas such as gardening, woodwork, and crafts
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and local community partners

What We Can Offer You

  • Pension contribution
  • Paid DBS

Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

United Response is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff to share this commitment.
