Relief Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and flexible Relief Kitchen Assistant to join our Hospitality team, providing casual cover across Jewish Cares campuses, care homes and community centres in North West London, including Golders Green, Hendon and the surrounding Barnet area. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the delivery of high-quality food and hospitality services. You will assist with basic food preparation, including vegetables, salads and sandwiches, prepare and arrange food counters and dining areas, serve hot and cold food and beverages, and help maintain a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment. You may also be required to operate the till and cash up. You will play an important part in creating a pleasant dining experience for residents, visitors and colleagues, working both independently and as part of a busy team. Previous kitchen experience would be beneficial, along with a positive attitude, good communication skills and a, willingness to undertake, We are looking for a flexible and hardworking Relief Kitchen Assistant to support our Hospitality team across Jewish Cares North West London services. You will help with food preparation, serving meals and refreshments, setting up dining areas and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Working as part of a friendly team, you will help create a welcoming dining experience for residents, visitors and colleagues. Previous kitchen experience is desirable, but a positive attitude, good communication skills and willingness to learn are just as important. This is a casual relief role paying £14.80 per hour, with shifts generally from 7am to 3pm, including occasional weekends. Hours are offered as and when required and are not guaranteed.
