Relief Harbour Operational Support Staff

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking to appoint Operational Support Staff at the facilities at Porthcawl Marina. These facilities include a 70-berth marina which has a mix of leisure and commercial use with regular visiting vessels.

Successful candidates will be familiar with this form of marina environment and will be responsive to the needs of marina users, maintaining a clean and safe environment with good standards of customer service. The posts will become part of a team supporting the Harbour Master to operate the facility to agreed standards and will include controlling access, basic administration, cash handling, general maintenance tasks and maintaining a high-quality environment. Applicants should be enthusiastic, personable, motivated, and flexible. The work will be on an as and when required basis and include unsociable hours in response to the needs of the service.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
