Full Job Description
Müller Market Drayton is looking for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering team within the Filling Department., This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving production equipment, ensuring reliability, efficiency and safety across our filling operations. Working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, you'll help deliver world-class standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.,
- Maintain and improve plant, equipment and site services to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and support improvements to maintenance practices
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime
- Support the effective operation of the Engineering Request System
- Ensure all work is completed in line with food safety, quality and health & safety standards
- Monitor equipment performance and identify signs of wear, defects or potential failure
- Record accurate maintenance and asset information within the CMMS
- Work with OEMs and suppliers to obtain technical support and source replacement parts when required
- Champion a positive health and safety culture across the department
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities that enhance reliability and performance
Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Reliability Engineer within a fast-moving manufacturing, production, FMCG or logistics environment - Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- HNC qualified or apprentice trained, with experience working on high-speed manufacturing machinery
- Experience maintaining pumps, valves, conveyors and PLC-controlled equipment
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance and reliability-centred maintenance principles
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Good communication and teamwork skills Desirable
- Previous experience within an FMCG environment
- Knowledge of filling equipment and process technology
