Full Job Description
The post holder will provide Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) lessons and interventions that equip young people aged 11-16 with the knowledge and skills needed to experience safe and fulfilling relationships. The post holder will facilitate students learning on how torecognise and manage risk, build resilience, understand healthy and unhealthy behaviours in relationships, and how to access support services when needed. The post holder will work towards reducing health inequality by providing sexual health knowledge and information inan age-appropriate way through a planned curriculum of evidence based RSE lessons. The post holder will work in secondary mainstream and secondary special school provisions in Wakefield including education and community settings and work primarily with young people aged 11-16.Other areas of work will involve delivering targeted group work and one-to-one interventions and support with resource preparation. The post holder will collate the base line data to ensure progress and learning. Successful candidates will have a drive to improve health equality for young people and understand ways of delivering resilience promoting messages. This post includes the delivery of an established Train the Trainer programme that provides the resources and knowledge professionals need to deliver RSE within their own settings., To deliver high quality Relationship & Sex Education sessions to young people in a variety of formal & informal educational settings.To deliver an established Train the Trainer programme to a variety of professionals including NEET providers and youth and community workers.To deliver specific interventions for children, young people, their carers and professionals relating to child sexual exploitation and coercive relationship awareness in a variety of formal & informal educational settings.To deliver Spectrum's established RESPECT programme in secondary schools and non-schoolsettings, providing information and awareness on child sexual exploitation and coercive relationships.To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team., Whether you are starting out in your healthcare journey or are an experienced healthcare professional looking for a new challenge we've got a role for you!
