Full Job Description
As a Reinstatement Operative, you'll play a key role in supporting essential water infrastructure projects across the region. You'll be responsible for reinstating highways and surfaces following excavation works for water mains repairs, new connections, and other utilities projects. This is a hands-on role where you'll make a real difference to the communities we serve, ensuring our work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Reinstatement Operative, you'll be working within the Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team, supporting them in delivering essential water infrastructure projects. Your day to day will include:
-Carrying out high-quality reinstatement works including tarmac, concrete, and modular paving following excavation
-Ensuring all reinstatement meets HAUC and local authority specifications
-Operating plant and machinery safely, such as rollers and compactors
-Completing job documentation using tablet-based systems
-Maintaining site safety and traffic management compliance while working collaboratively with teams
Previous experience in highway or utilities reinstatement (desired but not essential)
-Hold a HGV Driving License
-Have or are willing to obtain a CSCS card, EUSR Water Hygiene, or NRSWA certification (training can be provided)
