Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Ward Nurse to join our dedicated team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Shepton Mallet. This is your chance to provide outstanding, patient-centred care in a supportive environment, working alongside a friendly multidisciplinary team that's passionate about delivering the highest standards in line with NMC guidelines. This is a full-time position working, 37.5 hours a week with a combination of shifts;
- Monday to Sunday - Long Days: 07:00-1930 (primary shift patterns)
- Monday to Sunday - Night shifts 19:00 - 07:30
- Weekdays, weekends and bank holidays As our Registered Nurse, you will be:
- Delivering high-quality nursing care to our patients on the ward.
- Taking charge in the absence of senior staff, ensuring smooth and safe ward operations.
- Supervising and supporting HCAs and junior nurses, promoting best practice and professional development.
- Accurately assessing, monitoring, and recording patient observations, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with NMC and hospital standards.
- Supporting patient and family engagement in care planning and delivery.
- Assisting with audits and contributing to continuous improvement in clinical standards.
Relevant post-registration experience, ideally in a surgical setting. - Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

- Ability to plan and prioritise your workload effectively, even under pressure.
- A positive and adaptable approach, with the motivation to contribute to continuous improvement. What you can expect in return
- A salary of £35,556.57 per annum
