The Opportunity

We're looking for an enthusiastic Registered or Student Veterinary Nurse to join our nursing team.

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, including paid lunch breaks, although flexible working arrangements can be discussed for the right candidate.

The practice is well equipped with:

• Digital radiography and ultrasound
• Endoscopy and TTA equipment
• Extensive patient monitoring equipment
• In-house laboratory
• A wide range of nurse-led clinics
• Opportunities to gain experience across small animal, farm and equine work

Nurses of varying experience are welcome, and individual clinical interests are actively encouraged.

The Rota

• 40-hour standard working week, excluding inpatient cover, weekends and bank holidays
• No routine on-call
• Saturday surgery approximately 1 in 6, 9am-3pm
• Nurse consult shift approximately 1 in 7, 9am-12pm
• Overtime applies to hours over 38 per week, weekends and hours before 8am or after 6.30pm
• TOIL may be available for up to two hours of accumulated weekday overtime
• Occasional inpatient cover may be required, with additional payments for night, weekend and call-out cover

What We're Looking For

• A registered RVN with experience in a busy practice
• A friendly, motivated Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about patient and client care
• An interest in developing specific clinical skills and nurse-led clinics
• A driving licence and appropriate business insurance
• Willingness to occasionally work across the practice's branch surgery or attend locations away from the practice
• Business mileage is reimbursed in line with HMRC guidelines
