Full Job Description
We are looking for an additional RVN to join our practice in Hayes, working part-time to support a growing GP workload. Schedule: 2-day week (Thursdays and Fridays, 8-hour shifts) with a 1:3 Saturday rotation between Hayes and Uxbridge, and a 1:10 Sunday shift alongside the Mandeville Hospital team, plus one bank holiday per year. There are NO on-call requirements. Responsibilities
- Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care.
- Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.
- Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records and ensure accurate record-keeping of hospitalised patients.
- Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care.
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use.
- Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with suppliers as needed.
- Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training.
- Provide reception duties as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets in person, by email and over the telephone.
- Support student nurses and VCA's as a clinical supervisor. Salary £32,000 to £36,000 per annum (full-time equivalent based on 40 hours per week, to be pro-rated for part-time hours) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role. Benefits
