Registered Practice Nurse

As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to our diverse patient population. Working alongside our GPs, Healthcare Assistants and wider multidisciplinary team, you will manage your own clinics and contribute to the ongoing delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering wound care, dressings, ulcer care and removal of sutures or clips.
• Performing venepuncture, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring and urinalysis.
• Administering childhood and adult immunisations, travel vaccinations and injectable medications in line with current guidelines.
• Undertaking cervical cytology screening.
• Carrying out NHS Health Checks and providing health promotion and lifestyle advice.
• Participating in the management of patients with long-term conditions, including asthma, COPD and diabetes (where appropriately trained).
• Maintaining accurate clinical records using EMIS Web and ensuring appropriate clinical coding.
• Supporting infection prevention and control procedures and maintaining high clinical standards.
• Working collaboratively with the wider practice team to provide outstanding patient care.
