We are a highly motivated department, seeing in excess of 150,000 patients per year across 2 sites. You will be working in a team primarily based at Peterborough Hospital covering a variety of specialties including Dermatology, Urology, General Medicine / Surgical clinics and minor surgery. - enhance your nursing experience In return we can offer you training, support of a well-developed team and opportunities to work across sites as required. The hours of work are around the needs of the service between 8.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., Monday to Friday but may include some Saturday work as necessary., Deliver consistently high standards of patient-centred care, ensuring safety, dignity, and a positive experience throughout all clinic interactions. Support smooth clinic flow and respond promptly to patient needs. Co-ordinating Shifts & Staffing Plan and allocate staff across clinic areas to maintain safe staffing levels and an appropriate skill mix. Shift Management in the Absence of Senior Staff Provide leadership and oversight when senior staff are unavailable. Escalate concerns appropriately and ensure continuity of safe and effective service delivery. Troubleshooting Identify and resolve issues that arise during clinics, including delays, equipment problems, workflow disruptions, and patient queries. Implement timely solutions to minimise impact on patient care. Minor Procedures Competently assist with minor procedures within the Outpatients setting, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and patient safety protocols. Catheterisation Perform male and female catheterisation safely and confidently, following Trust policies and maintaining patient comfort and dignity. Venepuncture Carry out venepuncture efficiently and accurately, supporting diagnostic pathways and ensuring timely collection of blood samples. Vascular Clinics Provide skilled wound care, including the assessment and management of complex or non-routine dressings and selecting appropriate dressing products.
