Full Job Description

Are you a compassionate and motivated Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (Band 5) to join our Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient service, supporting young people with acute, complex mental health needs.,

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Maintain clear, accurate nursing records and communicate effectively with young people, families and colleagues.
  • Participate in ward routines, therapeutic engagement and community group activities.
  • Administer medication safely in line with Health Board policies.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe ward environment.
  • Use Restrictive Physical Intervention (RPI) only as a last resort and in accordance with training and policy.
  • Work collaboratively with the MDT including contributing to reviews, care planning and safeguarding discussions.
  • Support, supervise and guide healthcare support workers, assistant practitioners and students, depending on experience.
  • Participate in service development, ward accreditation and effective use of resources.
