Full Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for Registered Nurses to join our friendly nursing team within Intensive Care We have Permanent roles and a Secondment role available. Please note the secondment role will be 34.5 hours per week. We have spacious, well-equipped units with dedicated teams of Intensivists, experienced critical care nurses and proactive AHP's. The unit is lively, energetic and forward thinking; embracing new initiatives, change and the development of services. You will receive orientation to the unit and will be comprehensively supported with a full induction programme and ongoing development in the care of the critically ill patient.
You MUST have a minimum of 12 months or more demonstrable post NMC registration qualification experience; with this being in a current acute hospital setting experience being essential. Previous critical care experience is desirable but not essential. Ability to work internal rotation from day to night duty is essential.
- You would be caring for critically ill patients requiring multi organ support; responsible for assessing, planning and delivering a high standard of individualised nursing care.
- Caring for X1 level 3 or X2 level 2 patients requiring ICU or HDU care.
- Liaising with the MDT and senior nurses on the ICU, and also collaborating with admission and discharge areas to provide excellent nursing care and contribute to a positive patient journey and experience.
- When called upon to provide support to other areas in the Trust when activity is less on the unit and greater need elsewhere is an expectation.
- You will need to have a current and active NMC pin and have acute hospital approx 12 months or more of proven experience.
