Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

The ED is the busiest in the East of England, seeing in excess of 140,000 new patients each year. We are in the process of developing new effective ways of working, and your role will be to support and work within the team to achieve high quality and compassionate care for our patients. This is an excellent opportunity to play a role in the realisation of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals' vision of: 'to provide every patient with care we want for those we love the most'. The successful applicant will benefit from a structured development plan and further educational opportunities. Hours of work: We are offering full / Part time posts with rotation onto nights. Candidates need to have completed preceptorship post qualification.Main duties of the job To work with all members of the Emergency Department team within the multi-disciplinary framework. To work in all areas of the department. Maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Department Sister/Charge Nurse. To work in accordance with the principles laid down by the Nursing/Midwifery professional bodies and Trust Policies. To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.
