If you work in health or social care, providing direct patient care, this fully funded degree apprenticeship offers an opportunity to gain a nursing degree while earning a salary. Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Community Nursing Teams as a Registered Nurse Degree Apprentice. As an RNDA, you will combine study with practical experience in community healthcare settings. You will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to become a confident, compassionate and competent Registered Nurse. Assistant Practitioners and Nursing Associates may be eligible for accreditation of prior learning, which could reduce the length of the programme. The successful candidate will be appointed at Band 3 whilst undertaking the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship. Progression to a Band 5 Registered Nurseis subject to:

  • Successful completion of the nursing degree programme
  • Achievement of the RNDA Standard
  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Applicants will also be required to successfully complete the university application and interview process before a final offer can be made., As a Registered Nurse Degree Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in a range of healthcare settings while working alongside skilled multidisciplinary teams. Through a combination of workplace learning and academic study, you will develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to become a Registered Nurse. This job description is aligned to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses (2018) Throughout the apprenticeship, you will develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required to become a Registered Nurse, including professional accountability, health promotion, assessment and care planning, delivering and evaluating care, leading and coordinating care, working effectively within multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of patient safety and quality of care.     Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is due to integrate with Medway Community Healthcare on 1 October 2026.
