If the answer to the above is yes then this is an exciting secondment opportunity and be a part of our team in the Combined Triage Assessment Unit (CTAU).

There will be a requirement to work weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis.

We are ideally looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with demonstrable post registration experience with acute and/or Oncology/Haematology experience, who will thrive in our bespoke assessment unit.

We are in search of driven, compassionate and forward thinking nurses to join our team to support the cancer patient journey when they become unwell as a result of their treatment.

You must be adaptable, able to thrive under pressure, a great team player, be able to empathise and to remain professional and positive during challenging situations.

The role entails telephone triaging, assessing, planning and implementing care to acutely unwell patients. We have a 24hr triage line where patients undergoing treatments for their cancer diagnosis can call the line for advice and assessment. Typically, patients will attend CTAU for a few hours then be discharged home with a plan, although some patients will be admitted directly to one of our cancer wards.

CTAU is open 7 days a week currently from 7:30 am to 8 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 6 pm on weekends and Bank Holidays (hours may change in the future).

Winter hours are staggered and extended from 8:30 am to 9 pm due to higher activity.
