Registered Nurse Band 5

An opportunity has become available to join our Team on G40. The department is divided into two areas, comprising Elective Day Surgery/Admissions and Short Stay Unit caring for Pre-operative and Post-operative patients. You will be expected to work in both areas once your preceptorship period is completed. Additional training will be arranged for specific needs dependant on surgical speciality.

We provide a service for all Surgical specialities, i.e Orthopaedic, ENT, Oral Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Burns, Breast, General Surgery, Urology etc., A Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering and managing direct patient/client/service user care, ensuring the provision of safe, effective, and compassionate healthcare which is both high quality and evidence based. RNs conduct comprehensive assessments of patients/client/service users, administer medication, monitor health status, and provide education to patients client/service users and their families regarding treatment plans. They collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans. Additionally, RNs provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff and students, fostering a supportive and professional clinical environment.
