An Endoscopy Nurse is a registered nurse who provides specialised care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and ERCP.
The post holder will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, assisting the endoscopist, monitoring patient safety throughout the procedure, and providing post-procedural care and education.
The role combines technical skills, patient care, and infection control expertise, requiring both clinical competence and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
In this role the post holder will participate and manage the Emergency on-call service 24/7. Participate in the on-call emergency rota out of hours, bank holidays and weekends are also supported with an On-call service 24/7.

Provide care, support and advice for patients, relatives and carers undergoing Endoscopic procedures.
The post holder will work and communicate with the Endoscopy coordinator to organize the Endoscopy list on a daily basis, planning the session in a timely and efficient way.
To be able to efficiently take charge of a session in the Endoscopy unit.
Support and supervise junior, or non-registered staff and students working in Endoscopy. To develop ones knowledge and competencies in line with your JETS Endoscopy profile., Where a vacancy is advertised as a temporary position, the duration will be specified in the advert. If the vacancy becomes permanent towards the end of the specified duration, the successful applicant may not be required to re-apply and can be slotted into the role on a permanent basis if appropriate.
