Registered Manager

Be responsible for the effective leadership, management and regulatory compliance of their designated children's home. The Registered Manager is responsible for ensuring children receive safe, nurturing, kind, aspirational and consistently high-quality care that improves their experiences and outcomes. The ambition is clear: we aim for every home to be Outstanding. Good is the minimum acceptable standard. This ambition is not solely about an Ofsted judgement. It means creating homes where children feel safe, valued, listened to and cared about; where staff are proud of the care they provide; where leaders are visible and inspiring; and where there is a constant desire to learn, develop and improve. The Registered Manager is expected to lead with kindness, integrity, curiosity, courage and accountability. They must inspire others through their own behaviour and create a culture where high expectations are balanced with support, compassion and recognition. The Registered Manager will be accountable for ensuring the home operates in accordance with:

• The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Supported Accommodation
Regulations 2023, and associated Quality Standards.
• The Guide to the Children's Homes Regulations, including the Quality Standards.
• Relevant safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance.
• SCIF / SCCIF and Annex A.
• The home's Statement of Purpose.
• Children's care plans, placement plans, risk assessments and associated plans.
• Choices Homes for Children and Thera Care policies, procedures, protocols and
practice guidance.
