Full Job Description
The Brookes Recruitment Group is recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to oversee a large supported-living service in Birmingham. The service supports adults with learning disabilities, mental-health conditions and complex needs, helping individuals develop independence, stability and meaning. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care manager to take responsibility for the operational leadership, quality and continued development of an established service. The role As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and person-centred delivery of the service. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong operational leadership across the service
- Maintaining high standards of care, support and safeguarding
- Leading, developing and supporting the staff team
- Managing recruitment, induction, supervision and performance
- Ensuring staffing levels and rotas meet the needs of the service
- Overseeing care plans, risk assessments and support documentation
- Maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies
- Preparing for inspections, audits and quality reviews
- Managing incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns appropriately
- Working closely with families, commissioners and healthcare professionals
- Monitoring budgets, resources and service performance
Applicants should have: - Current or recent Registered Manager experience within adult social care
- Experience managing supported-living, learning-disability, mental-health or complex-needs services
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards
- Experience leading and developing a multidisciplinary staff team
- A good understanding of safeguarding, risk management and person-centred support
- Strong organisational, communication and decision-making skills
- The ability to manage competing operational priorities
- A relevant health and social care management qualification, ideally Level 5 or equivalent
- The ability to demonstrate positive outcomes for the people supported Candidates currently working as an experienced Deputy Manager, Service Manager or Operations Manager may also be considered where they can demonstrate the leadership experience required to step into registration.
