Full Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager.
The role offers an opportunity to establish a high-quality provision designed to support a young person with complex needs within a stable, nurturing and therapeutic environment. You will lead the service from the outset, ensuring strong foundations are in place while delivering high standards of care and full compliance with CIW / Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Quality Standards.
You will be responsible for building and leading a committed staff team, ensuring the young person receives consistent, trauma-informed care within a highly structured and supportive setting.
This role would suit a motivated leader who is passionate about achieving positive outcomes for young people while developing professionally within a growing organisation.
Who you will be working for:
Our client is part of a wider healthcare group delivering specialist services across the UK. The organisation operates a network of children's homes designed to support young people who require high levels of care and stability.
The service model focuses heavily on solo placements, allowing teams to provide intensive, personalised support to each young person.
Company type/size: Part of a large healthcare group
Number of homes: 15+ homes across the group
Future plans: The organisation has grown from 2 homes to over 16 homes in the last five years and continues to expand in a measured and sustainable way.
Other services: Wider healthcare services delivered through the parent group.
Why this home & company:
This is an opportunity to lead a new solo home within a well-supported and growing organisation. Managers benefit from strong operational backing, including support from an experienced Responsible Individual and Operations Manager.
The organisation prioritises measured growth and staff wellbeing, ensuring services are developed sustainably while maintaining high standards of care.
The Deputy Manager within the home works a blended role of 30 hours management and 10 hours on shift, ensuring consistent leadership presence within the service.
Progression:
The organisation places strong emphasis on developing staff internally. Over 90% of Deputy Managers progressed from Residential Support Worker or Senior Residential Support Worker roles through mentoring and structured development.
Managers are supported to continue progressing within the organisation as new homes open.
Qualifications Required: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience Required: Previous experience within an Ofsted Registered Children's Home, ideally within a management or supervisory role.
Bonus scheme up to £8,000
Support from an RI and Operations Manager
Strong internal career progression opportunities
Structured leadership development
Supportive operational and quality teams

Ethos:
Our client focuses on delivering high-quality, child-centred care within stable and supportive environments where young people can feel safe, valued and supported to achieve positive outcomes.
Culture:
The organisation promotes a supportive and developmental culture where staff wellbeing is prioritised and teams are encouraged to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference to the lives of young people.
On call duties:
On-call responsibilities are currently shared between six managers on a rota basis, meaning you would typically participate in on-call approximately once every six weeks.
Sponsorship is not available.
