Registered Clinical Practitioner

Are you an experienced Theatre Clinical Practitioner looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a specialist cancer service?, Within your designated clinical area in Velindre Cancer Service (VCS), you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care, including individualised assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Maintain excellent clinical standards, accurate documentation and safe practice in line with NMC, Trust and local policies. Support, supervise and develop staff and students by acting as a mentor, preceptor and role model within the clinical area. Contribute to the safe and effective running of the ward/department, including shift coordination, resource management, risk reporting, audit activity and service improvement.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Practitioner with significant recovery / scrub experience to join our Brachytherapy Theatre team at Velindre Cancer Centre. This role is ideally suited to an experienced practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and has a proven ability to work within a fast-paced theatre environment. As a clinical expert within the service, you will provide safe, effective and compassionate care to patients undergoing oncology-related procedures. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes while supporting service development and quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Demonstrate extensive recovery / scrub practitioner experience.
• Independently manage complex clinical situations within the theatre environment.
• Maintain excellent clinical standards and accurate documentation..
• Participate in audit, governance and quality improvement activities.
• Deputise for the Theatre Sister/Charge Nurse when required.
• Contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the department., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
