Full Job Description

The successful applicant will lead, manage and support a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, while acting as a corporate parent to the children we care for, helping, supporting and ensuring they thrive in their day to day lives., As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the children's home supporting children and young people with LD disabilities and other additional complex needs. As an experienced manager you can confidently lead a dedicated team, fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere for all to thrive. You will play a key role in setting up and developing this new service, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.

Children's services Residential Home, This is a need led children's LD residential home based in Wimborne, Dorset. We we are looking for for caring, supportive and driven people to join our team!,

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in children's residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in children's services.
  • Experience in planning and implementing care plans and any documentation relevant to children and young people to a high standard that meet in full The Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Experience of supporting children and young people with LD disabilities that can sometimes display complex behaviours.
  • Leading Ofsted home inspections
  • Experience opening new services is advantageous
