Full Job Description
We're now looking for a Regional Operations Manager to play an integral role at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every train journey is a success. The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for the control and delivery of the day to day train service requirement for AWC across various sites . Ensuring the delivery of a high quality and efficient operational processes which delivers 100% service to customer through efficient management of available resources. The Regional Operations Manager is also responsible for internal and external KPIs, maintaining food safety standards and legal compliance. Also responsible for providing management information accurately and on time using the IT tools available whilst continually developing and managing their team to ensure a continuous pipeline of future talent as part of succession planning. A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Managing day to day operational activities to fulfil customer requirements
- Adherence to compliance both internal and external regulatory bodies
- Maintain and promote H&S culture across the site
- Monitor agreed resource level across site in line with budgets, and productivity targets
- Manage and enhance performance management
- Engage with Union to facilitate collaboration between management and colleagues
- Planning corrective action meetings and preparing response to audits
- Ensure effective communication processes are established for both internal and external customers
- Review, develop and maintain/improve operational processes in line with DfT guidelines
- Work closely with H&S and Food technical team to ensure all standards of food safety are followed
- Liaise with Food Technical team on safety audits and support implementation plans
- Work towards minimising impact on train delays due to operational process error
Preferred experience within catering logistics operation or Warehouse logistics operation - IT literate- Excel data.
- Ability to manage HR functions at site level
- Strong people management skills
- Ability to tailor communication style
- Ability to manage teams through shift managers
- Willing to travel across the UK - managing 3 /4 sites
