Full Job Description
We are seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee and drive the successful delivery of education catering contracts across multiple sites within Wakefield, Barnsley and selected North East locations. This role carries responsibility for contracts valued up to £8m, ensuring operational excellence, high levels of client satisfaction and sustainable commercial growth., We are looking for a leader who can build strong, long-term relationships with clients, colleagues and supply chain partners while creating a positive, collaborative working environment. Reporting into the Key Account Portfolio Director, the role focuses on connecting client needs with operational capability, driving continuous improvement and delivering outstanding catering services that create long-term value for all stakeholders.,
- Take full ownership of multiple education catering contracts, ensuring all contractual deliverables, KPIs and SLAs are met or exceeded
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building trusted, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
- Lead service delivery in line with contractual, legal and health & safety obligations, championing a safety-first culture
- Oversee operational and financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and P&L accountability
- Prepare weekly operating reports and a monthly Business Review Report for the Key Account Portfolio Director
- Lead, develop and empower Area Managers, Kitchen Managers and frontline teams to deliver high performance
- Ensure effective workforce planning, training, attendance, wellbeing and compliance across all sites
- Identify and support commercial growth opportunities, service development initiatives and contract renewals
Proven experience within the catering service industry - Previous experience working in an educational operational environment
- Experience managing client contracts valued at approximately £5m or more
- Experience working within an international organisation with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, reporting and performance management
- Experience managing SLAs and KPI reporting
- Competent MS Office user
