Full Job Description
As Regional Manager, you will support the Lot Director in overseeing the management of the Lot, with a particular focus on high-quality delivery and operational performance of the curriculum and education services.
You will directly line manage a team of Prison Education Managers, ensuring the effective delivery of education services across multiple prison sites. This includes maintaining compliance, promoting consistency and driving continuous improvement throughout the provision. You will also play a key role in sustaining collaborative relationships with HM Prison Service, partner agencies and other stakeholders to enhance curriculum relevance and improve learner outcomes.
You will contribute to the growth and development of the education provision, ensuring its long-term sustainability. This will involve monitoring delivery and performance across the Lot to ensure contractual compliance, conducting reviews and analysis as required and contributing to reports that identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
You will lead on quality improvement with a strong emphasis on teaching and learning. Through your leadership, you will inspire and challenge education teams to cultivate a dynamic culture of enterprise, innovation and excellence in teaching, learning and student achievement.
This is a hybrid role requiring regular travel to prison sites within your portfolio, typically this would be at least two days a week to maintain high levels of engagement and operational oversight. However, there will be instances where an increased presence is required onsite; such as inspection/s or leave periods.
Your place of work will the prison which is closest to your home address. Where you are required to travel to an alternative prison for the purposes of a visit, you should ensure that you take the most cost-effective form of travel, including the use of public transport as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in education management within a prison, further education or training environment.
