Do you want to play a pivotal role in helping NHS Blood and Transplant recruit the donors and build partnerships needed to save and improve lives? As a Regional Community Engagement Manager, you will lead the delivery of regional community engagement plans that inspire people to become blood and plasma donors, and sign up for the organ, stem cell and bone marrow registers. You will build strategic partnerships with organisations and community groups, develop innovative engagement activities, and lead regional teams to deliver meaningful outcomes. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will help increase awareness, strengthen community relationships, and ensure we have enough donors to meet patient needs now and in the future., Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of regional community engagement plans aligned to NHSBT's strategic objectives. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with organisations, businesses and community groups to increase donor awareness and recruitment. Identify and develop opportunities that encourage blood and plasma donation, and sign up to the organ, stem cell and bone marrow registers. Collaborate with colleagues across Donor Experience, Operations, Transplant and Transfusion teams to deliver engagement priorities and campaigns. Manage and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring consistent and effective partnership working. Lead, motivate and support the Community Engagement team, (Coordinators and Events Assistants) to achieve regional objectives. Monitor, analyse and evaluate engagement activity to measure impact and drive continuous improvement. Manage allocated budgets responsibly, ensuring value for money and compliance with organisational policies.   • Specialist knowledge in stakeholder or community engagement, supported by significant relevant experience.
  • Management, Marketing Master's degree or equivalent experience working at Master's level.
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Willingness and ability to undertake travel and spend time away from base to meet the requirements of the post (with appropriate prior notice)
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and to travel extensively, including overnight stays when required (with appropriate prior notice), Successful track record of Community Engagement leadership at a strategic level within an organisation of comparable scope, size and complexity.
  • Experience in a senior stakeholder engagement role and of developing, delivering and evaluating stakeholder engagement programmes
  • Demonstrable commitment to diversity and equality.
  • Extensive project management/lead experience, coupled with a specialist understanding of project management techniques.
  • Experience of working with faith / belief groups in a professional or personal capacity
