Regional Director

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a portfolio of care homes, ensuring outstanding resident care, strong commercial performance, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with Home Managers and central support teams, you'll create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence, helping our homes achieve their full potential while delivering exceptional resident experiences. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing inspirational leadership, coaching and support to Home Managers, developing high-performing teams and building a strong pipeline of future talent across the region.
• Driving quality, compliance, occupancy, profitability and operational performance, ensuring homes consistently meet regulatory requirements, Avery standards and business objectives.
• Conducting regular home visits, audits and performance reviews, using data and insight to identify opportunities, manage risk and deliver continuous improvement.
• Building strong relationships with residents, families, regulators, commissioners and key stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for Avery Healthcare within your region.
• Supporting homes through operational challenges, safeguarding matters, complaints, commissioning activities and wider business initiatives, ensuring residents remain at the heart of every decision.
  
  You are an experienced operational leader with a proven track record of delivering results across multiple care settings. You combine strong commercial awareness with a passion for quality care and can inspire, influence and develop others to achieve excellence.

• Experience in a regional or multi-site operational leadership role within the care home sector
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, the Health and Social Care Act and quality governance frameworks.
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams while delivering commercial and operational success.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and driving sustainable business performance.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels.
• A Registered Nurse qualification is not essential but preferred, or a minimum Level 4 Care and Management qualification., A satisfactory DBS check (paid for by Avery Healthcare).
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
• Participation in the on-call rota and occasional overnight stays where required.
