Full Job Description
- Apply broad knowledge of Home Office resettlement schemes for Afghan citizens who worked for or with the UK Government in Afghanistan.
- Independently manage workload, make decisions, and resolve issues using sound judgment.
- Plan and prioritize service requirements in line with departmental policies.
- Facilitate collaboration among health and wellbeing partners to meet refugee needs.
- Act as Safeguarding Lead for the Lancashire Refugee Integration Team.
- Engage with Third Sector organisations, local authorities, and stakeholders to support refugee development.
- Develop and disseminate communication tools (e.g., newsletters, guides, virtual networks).
- Build and maintain effective relationships with agencies and service providers.
- Design and deliver training and professional development for refugees and stakeholders.
- Lead partnership initiatives and represent the team in networks and steering groups.
- Organise stakeholder networks and conferences.
- Provide expert advice on community cohesion, safety, and development.
Broad understanding of Home Office resettlement schemes for Afghan citizens who worked for or with the UK Government in Afghanistan. - In-depth knowledge of refugee integration, especially health inequalities and barriers.
- Familiarity with the Health and Wellbeing Sector in Lancashire/North West England.
- Understanding of NHS and contractor-based health commissioning processes.
- Strong research and information management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, networking, and intercultural communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant professional, regulatory, and statutory frameworks.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to train and mentor professional staff.
- Strong planning, organisational, and multitasking abilities.
- Basic project planning and delivery knowledge.
- High standard of written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
- Initiative and ability to work independently.
- Teamwork and adaptability to shifting priorities.
- Time management and commitment to continuous professional development.
