Full Job Description

The Reflection Room Manager will be expected to:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Reflection Room, maintaining a calm, secure and highly structured environment.
  • Supervise students and ensure silent, independent work and high standards of behaviour at all times.
  • Implement behaviour systems consistently, including Reminder, Warning and Fail.
  • Monitor student behaviour and maintain accurate records, identifying trends and reporting to the Behaviour Team and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students and parents regarding placements, expectations and outcomes.
  • Support students to reflect on their behaviour, facilitating restorative conversations and successful reintegration into lessons.
  • Work closely with pastoral and teaching staff to address underlying behaviour needs and reduce repeated placements.
  • Assist with the administration of the Behaviour Team, including communication, data tracking and reporting.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive environment that upholds the academy's high standards, ethos and culture.
  • Participate in training and development and support staff in effective behaviour management approaches where appropriate.

You will be adept at using direct instruction pedagogy and delivering a well sequenced, knowledge rich curriculum. You will be committed to creating an environment that promotes academic, creative, sporting, linguistic and personal achievement., The role is covered by part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
