Full Job Description

We currently have one full-time, 12-month secondment vacancy for a Referral Coordinator based in our Children's Front Door Service in Exeter. As first point of contact for the Front Door, you will filter and prioritise incoming enquiries, accurately entering the details into a database for the attention of a Social Worker. Promoting DCC Customer Service Standards, you will respond positively and professionally to telephone calls from members of the public requesting information and guidance from Children's Social Care.,

  • This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English
  • Personal data we collect from you will be processed in accordance with the Applicant privacy notice
  • This role requires a DBS disclosure

    Are you an experienced administrator who is looking for a new challenge, and passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people? Then we would love to hear from you!, With previous experience of working alongside families with multiple and complex needs, you will have excellent interpersonal skills. You will be competent and adept at offering high support during times of high challenge., have a GCSE pass in English and Math (or equivalent)
  • previous administration experience, preferably working within social care
  • have excellent communication skills to engage with children, young people and families from differing abilities understanding and language
  • a positive, professional attitude and approach to work
  • have excellent IT skills to keep records up to the date
