Full Job Description

Are you passionate about sustainability, customer service and community engagement? Do you enjoy leading teams, solving problems and making a visible difference in your local area? We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Recycling Development Team Leader to support our team and to help increase recycling participation, reduce contamination and engage with residents., As Recycling Development Team Leader, you will:

  • Investigate and resolve recycling and waste collection issues.
  • Work alongside our collection teams to tackle areas with low recycling participation and high contamination.
  • Carry out promotional and educational campaigns that encourage waste minimisation and recycling.
  • Lead and support a small team of Recycling Development Officers and operational staff.

    We're looking for someone who can bring:
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience supervising or leading a team and motivating others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence engaging with members of the public and building positive relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • The ability to analyse information and use data to support decision-making.
  • A proactive approach with a genuine passion for environmental improvement.
    • You will also have:
  • A full driving licence.
  • Education to A-Level standard, or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Customer service experience or equivalent experience.
  • A good understanding of environmental legislation and recycling-related practices.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
