United Response is seeking a shared lives Recruitment & Development Officer to play a key role in growing and strengthening our Shared Lives service. In this role, you will lead therecruitment and assessment of Shared Lives carers, promote the service within the local community, and guide prospective carers through the approval process. You'll also help develop and engage our carers through training, events, and ongoing support, while working closely with the Service Manager and Coordinator to ensure the smooth delivery of a high-quality Shared Lives service. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about community engagement, carer development, and making a positive impact in people's lives. What we are looking for: We're looking for a motivated and organised professional with experience in health and social care, community engagement, or carer support to help grow our Shared Lives service. You'll lead the recruitment and assessment of Shared Lives carers, promote the service throughcommunity outreach and events, and support applicants through theapproval and training process. You'll also help organise carer meetings, training and engagement activities, contribute to the matching of carers with individuals, and work closely with the Service Manager and Coordinator to support service delivery.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be currently resident within the United Kingdom. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role., The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organisational and report-writing skills, experience working withvulnerable adults and safeguarding principles, and the ability tobuild positive relationships with carers, professionals and community partners. Experience inrecruitment, assessments or interviews and confidence managing a varied workload are essential. Knowledge of Shared Lives, adult social care legislation, or facilitating training would be advantageous. Afull UK driving licence is desirable.
