Full Job Description

Ipswich Borough Council operate various sports sites across the town. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team on a casual basis. This role is primarily focused on providing weekend party cover, with additional shifts available to cover staff absences, including sickness and annual leave.

The job will require evening and weekend working - you will need to be able to adapt to different tasks in what can be a fast-moving busy environment. You will be responsible for the setting up / down of equipment, supervising and hosting of children's parties, cleaning and various other tasks with tight deadlines to enable customers to enjoy their sessions in a safe and clean environment.

While this role supports the wider operation of the facility, one of the main focuses is providing cover for children's parties. You will play a key role in setting up and clearing away equipment for parties, ensuring everything is organised and ready for guests to arrive. You will welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, helping to create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. During parties, you will oversee the party itself, supervising children

ensuring their safety at all times. You will be there to assist the hosts to ensure each party runs smoothly while creating a fun, safe, and memorable experience for every guest.

Outside of this, you will be responsible for assisting the team with the efficient day-to-day operation of our sports and leisure facilities to ensure our customers can be more active in a safe and customer focused environment.
