Full Job Description
Community Inpatient unit is a bed-based facility supporting people to recover and regain their independence following a period of illness, trauma, surgery, or significant event. It supports hospital discharges, prevents admission to hospital or long-term care and promotes independent living. It is a multi-disciplinary service with Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Social Workers, and care staff., We are seeking some highly motivated and passionate Recovery Worker to join the MDT team at Community inpatient unit. The service provides short term rehab and reablement for Services Users who may need to regain their confidence and skills on discharge from hospital or to get over a short-term health exacerbation.
We encourage and support our Service Users to live as independent lives as possible and we always act in a manner that supports the care, protection, health and well-being of the Service User.
You will work alongside a wider MDT based at CIU including Nurses, Social Workers, Therapists and Assistant Practitioner to support service users to reach their rehab potential and move forward in their health journey.
You will work under direction of the HCA/ Assistant Practitioner and Nursing team and will carry out assigned tasks involving personal and nutritional care needs to patients.
You will follow protocols, guidance, and procedures under the direction of senior staff/ manager/supervisor.

Hours: 24 hours a week, fixed term contract for 9 months to cover maternity leave
Rota pattern: You will be required to work a rota pattern
Salary Range 2 £25,275 fixed salary point pro rata per annum.
