Full Job Description
We are taking positive action to increase diversity throughout our organisation, and to nurture a culture of inclusion for all our people and the clients that we support. We welcome applications from everyone who meets the criteria and strongly encourage individuals who identify as being of Black, African, Caribbean or Asian descent to apply as these groups are currently under-represented at Second Step. To ensure fairness and consistency, all applications are anonymised up until an interview has been confirmed so that shortlisting is based solely upon the suitability of the candidates skills and qualities. We are recruiting a Recovery Navigator to join our Intensive Outreach Team (IOS) in BANES. IOS provides short-term, intensive, psychosocial support to people being discharged from AWP Intensive Services to their GP., The IOS Recovery Navigator role is a great fit, for an applicant interested in Assistant Psychologist roles and/or applying for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in the future. People who have a Psychology degree (or similar) and/or interested in pursuing a career in mental health/psychology will also be welcomed. We are interested in anyone who is passionate about supporting those with higher levels of mental health needs and safety concerns and has some experience of working with these people. This service is also supported by a Senior Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a) who offers oversight to staff and the service. To work as a member of an integrated team consisting of Second Step Intensive Outreach Service and the AWP Intensive Team to provide personalised support to individuals who have been referred to the AWP (Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership) Intensive Team. The Intensive Outreach Service (IOS) adds value to the existing Intensive Services across Bath and Northeast
Somerset, Wiltshire and Swindon by supporting individuals experiencing intensive mental health symptoms or crisis who require additional intervention beyond short-term clinical input.
