Full Job Description

We are now looking for a Recovery Coordinator to join our East Sussex service-someone who can bring skill, empathy, and professionalism to support people on their recovery journey. This role requires a balance of clinical awareness, strong organisation, and genuine compassion.

  • Where: East Sussex
  • Hours: 3 ½ days per week.
  • Contract: Permanent Contract
  • Please note: Due to the nature of this role covering the East Sussex area, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance, as travel to our rural hubs is required. Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. Responsibilities: About the role This is a role where your work directly impacts people's lives. As a Recovery Coordinator, you will take the lead in coordinating personalised recovery journeys, supporting individuals affected by drug and/or alcohol use to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes. You will:
  • Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop tailored recovery and support plans
  • Manage a caseload, providing structured one-to-one and group-based interventions
  • Support individuals to engage with treatment options, services, and wider recovery opportunities
  • Proactively manage risk and reduce harm, ensuring safe and effective interventions
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners
  • Maintain accurate, timely and compliant record keeping and reporting
  • Support individuals to build resilience, independence, and long-term recovery goals

  • You will bring:
  • Experience of managing caseloads and supporting individuals with complex needs
  • A strong understanding of substance misuse, harm reduction, and recovery approaches
  • Knowledge of mental health interventions and best practice
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Confidence in working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to work independently
