We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. With this role you'll be working as part of the Peterborough Aspire Team and Childrens Social Care, based in Peterborough. The team supports people with drug and/or alcohol issues. This role focuses on supporting familles under Child Protection and Child in Need orders. the right candiated will be experienced in safeguarding and trauma informed care. Where: Peterborough Hours: 37.5 per week Contract Type: Permanent Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. Salary is subject to review in line with the 2025/26 pay award Responsibilities: About the role:
- To deliver outreach services to families promoting access for service users and concerned others
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
- Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
- To adhere to CGL policies and processes in delivery of services - particularly lone working and health and safety related to working with complex service users.
- To undertake focused work with families of interest.
- To provide rapid and flexible interventions where required to meet the needs of the service users.
A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group, e.g. mental health services, criminal justice agencies, community groups, etc. - Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
- Experience of safeguarding and working in the substance misuse field.
- Knowledge of the issue facing families where substance misuse is present.
- Good knowledge of local community based support practices.
