This is an exciting opportunity for a conscientious, enthusiastic, and detail-orientated individual to join our Norfolk Physiology Unit (NPU). NPU provides a specialist diagnostic service supporting patients with gastrointestinal, bowel and bladder function conditions across Norfolk and Suffolk. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients attending the unit, playing a vital role in ensuring a professional, welcoming and efficient service. Working within a dedicated, multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive administrative and reception support to specialist nurses and physiologists, helping to deliver high-quality patient care in a busy clinical environment., As a Receptionist within the Norfolk Physiology Unit, you will provide a high-quality front-of-house and administrative service, ensuring patients are welcomed, informed and supported throughout their visit. You will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the unit, supporting both patients and clinical staff in a busy and sensitive environment. The successful candidate will will manage patient arrivals, book and amend outpatient appointments, respond to queries, and maintain accurate patient records. As the first point of contact, you will liaise with clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure an efficient and patient-centred service. All aspects of this role must be carried out in line with Trust policies and procedures, particularly regarding data protection and confidentiality. You will ensure accurate, real-time entry of patient information onto the Patient Administration System (PAS), alongside undertaking a range of administrative duties requiring good IT skills and the ability to use multiple systems effectively. You will be expected to support the delivery of a high-quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, acting as a role model and consistently demonstrating the Trust's PRIDE values.

The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment. You will need to be approachable, calm under pressure, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
